What Is Noise in Houston

New music ensemble What Is Noise eagerly anticipates our residency in Houston, Texas February 19 - 22! As guests at the University of Houston, we present a reading session masterclass on Monday, February 21 at 6:00 PM in Dudley Recital Hall featuring new works by students Miles Bi, Antonio Sanz Escallon, Alex Perez, Benjamin Petree, and Alex Staten and a guest artist concert on Tuesday, February 22 at 7:30 PM in Dudley Recital Hall featuring works by George Crumb (Vox Balaenae), Rob Smith (Sprint), Daniel Whitworth (Ripples in Infinity), Roger Zare (Zodiacal Light), and Jennifer Jolley (How to be a Deep Thinker in Los Angeles).


What Is Noise also collaborates with The Parish School in Houston during this time for a series of workshops exploring the theme of Mardi Gras with the students through music! Facilitated by art therapist Krissy Christofakis, the ensemble will compile bespoke compositions inspiring the students' creation of communal artworks.
