My fifth season as artist faculty at the Mostly Modern Festival runs June 2 through 20 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York!

The festival kicks off with a concert by the American Modern Ensemble on Thursday, June 5 at 7:30 PM featuring artistic director Robert Paterson's Embracing the Wind, faculty composer Keith Fitch's This Rough Magicke, and three world premieres by participant composers. AME's second concert on Friday, June 13 at 7:30 PM includes Robert Paterson's Star Crossing, Ania Vu's Strange Birds, and two world premieres by participant composers.

The Mostly Modern Orchestra presents three concerts beginning on Sunday, June 8 at 3:00 PM with David Amado leading Barber's Medea's Meditation and Dance of Vengeance. JoAnn Falletta returns to lead the MMO on Sunday, June 15 at 3:00 PM featuring the world premiere of Robert Paterson's Journey of a Dragonfly, and the MMO closes the festival on Friday, June 20 at 7:30 PM under Andrew Crust, performing Robert Paterson's Dark Mountains and Jocelyn Morlock's Oiseaux bleus et sauvages.

All concerts take place in the Arthur Zankel Music Center, and enjoy all of the new music fun with a season pass!

On Wednesday, June 18, I share "Flute Forward", my presentation on writing for the 21st-Century flutist, at 4:00 PM, and this year's flute studio includes doctoral and undergraduate students from Stony Brook University, the University of Iowa, and the University of Miami.
