PANdemonium4 at Ohio Music Education Convention
PANdemonium4 appears twice at the third largest music conference in the country, the Ohio Music Education Association's Professional Development Conference in Columbus, Ohio, this year! On Friday, February 3, the quartet presents "Your Flute Section: A Performance Demo and Discussion with PANdemonium4" at 12:30 PM in CCA 112 - 113 of the Greater Columbus Convention Center. From chamber repertoire recommendations to the care and feeding of your flute ensemble, and from instrument buying guides to the care and maintenance of your flute, "Your Flute Section" covers all of the flute bases for music educators, and includes performances of flute trios, quartets, and ensembles from the Ohio Music Education Association solo and ensemble list by PANdemonium4 and a mass flute ensemble of current students and alumni. This is a not-to-be missed PDC event!
The following day on Saturday, February 4, PANdemonium4 performs the Young Composers Initiative Composition Competition concert featuring three world premiere works! The Ohio Young Composers Initiative was created to encourage, foster, and promote musical creativity across Ohio’s young music students, and the quartet will perform the winning compositions at 9:30 AM in the Greater Columbus Convention Center. PANdemonium4 is honored to be 2023's performing ensemble, and thanks Dr. Robert McClure for spearheading this collaboration with OMEA!
