In April, I reunite with my Carnegie Hall debut partner, pianist Clare Longendyke, for a tour of the Mountain State! We begin on the Concerts @ St. John's series on Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church in Charleston, West Virginia for a free concert and complimentary reception.
We repeat the program at Glenville State University on Monday, April 13 for a free 7:00 PM concert in the Fine Arts Building Auditorium in Glenville, West Virginia.
Our program celebrates the United States Semiquincentennial with a concert of works by American composers, including the world premiere of Dika Chartoff's Adesse alongside works by Aaron Copland (Duo), David del Tredici ("Acrostic Song" from Final Alice), Nancy Galbraith (A something in a summer's Day), Heidi Jacob (Suite), Mark Simon (Voice of the Turtle), and more.
As part of my annual faculty residency at Glenville State, on Monday, April 13 at 4:00 PM, I also share my new presentation "The Dirty Dozen", on how to correct the most common issues music educators encounter with their student flutists.
