Spring orchestral concerts
Springs brings six orchestral series and two operas to finish out the 2025 - 2026 season, starting with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra's pops concert, "The Broadway/Hollywood Songbook", on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 PM at the Clay Center in Charleston, West Virginia.
The Ohio Valley Symphony performs "Daring Dances" featuring both Ravel's Bolero and La Valse on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 PM at the Ariel Theatre in Gallipolis, Ohio.
The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra bring opera back with Bizet's Carmen under music director Maurice Cohn on Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 PM at the Clay Center in. Charleston before going on our "Casual Classics" tour featuring Beethoven Symphony No. 1 with performances on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 PM at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, West Virginia and on Sunday, March 30 at 2:30 PM at Blennerhassett School in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The WVSO's pops season closes with "Superheroes vs. Supervillains" on Saturday, April 12 at 7:30 PM at the Clay Center in Charleston, repeating on Sunday, April 13 at 2:30 PM at Blennerhassett School in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
The Ohio Valley Symphony's season finishes with "Romantic Spring" featuring Hanson's Symphony No. 2 on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 PM at the Ariel Theatre in Gallipolis, Ohio.
The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra's "Season Finale" features every flutist's favorite orchestral work, Ravel's Daphnis et Chloe, on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 PM at the Clay Center in Charleston.
I return to Resonance Works for Donizetti's Anna Bolena on Friday, May 16 at 8:00 PM and on Sunday, May 18 at 3:00 PM at the Charity Randall Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
