2019 - 2020 orchestral season begins
The 2019 - 2020 orchestral season begins this month! The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra kicks off our season with "Super Pops" on Saturday, September 21st in Charleston, West Virginia's Civic Center at 7:30 PM. Our symphonic season opens with an "80th Anniversary Spectacular" on Saturday, October 19th featuring Prokofiev Symphony No. 5 and continues on Saturday, November 16th with Beethoven Symphony No. 6. Both concerts are at 7:30 PM in the Clay Center. Visit the orchestra's website for information on all nine of the symphonic, pops, young people's, and run-out concerts this fall! Over the next three months, I perform with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic for "Pops at the Park" on Monday, September 2nd in New Philadelphia, Ohio's Tuscora Park at 7:00 PM. The Ohio Valley Symphony starts our season with "Opera Gala-Polis!" on Saturday, September 14th and "A Salute to Our Veterans" on Saturday, November 9th, both in Gallipolis, Ohio's Ariel Theatre at 7:30 PM. The River Cities Symphony Orchestra also returns for "Marietta's Pops Concert" on Sunday, September 29th in Marietta, Ohio's Peoples Bank Theatre at 3:00 PM, and Resonance Works kicks off our new season with "The National Anthems" featuring Saariaho's Tocar for flute and harp and Helen Fisher's Te Tangi a Te Matui for solo flute on Saturday, November 2nd at 8:00 PM and Sunday, November 3rd, 3:00 PM in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Charity Randall Theatre.
