Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble season
This summer marks my 17th season as solo flutist of the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble! Join us in July for our nine concerts at the City Theatre in Pittsburgh. We kick off with "The Human Experience" Friday and Saturday, July 6th and 7th featuring world premieres by David Biedenbender (Shell and Wing) and Rufus Reid (Remembrance), and follow up with another world premiere by D.J. Sparr (Nullipara) on "What I Leave Behind" July 13th and 14th. July 20th and 21st brings "To Love and Be Loved" including signature commission Covenant by Jeffrey Nytch on poetry by Jessica Melilli-Hand, and we close with a reprise of audience favorite The Gray Cat and the Flounder by Kieren MacMillan on Friday and Saturday, July 27th and 28th.
All concerts are 8:00 pm, with the exception of a special children's performance of The Gray Cat and the Flounder on Saturday, July 28th at 1:00 pm, and are available on our website for $25 per concert ($15 for seniors and $10 for students).
