Mostly Modern Festival
The Mostly Modern Festival returns this June to celebrate 20th- and 21st-century music at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York!
I especially look forward to two performances with the American Modern Ensemble on Thursday, June 10 and Thursday, June 17 at 7:30 PM, featuring six world premiere chamber works by composer fellows alongside two pieces by faculty composers Robert Patterson (Eating Variations) and Vivian Fung (Corona Morphs), and three performances with the Mostly Modern Orchestra on Sunday, June 12 and Sunday, June 19 at 3:00 PM, and on Friday, June 24 at 7:30 PM, featuring Barber's Knoxville Summer of 1915 with conductor Peter Bay, Hindemith's Symphonic Metamophosis with conductor Scott Terrell, and Copland's Dance Symphony with conductor JoAnn Falletta. Additionally, I have the pleasure of teaching lessons and masterclasses for the flute fellows throughout the three-week festival.
Purchase tickets for any of the twelve MMF concerts between June 8 and 24, and be on the lookout for pop-up performances around Saratoga Springs throughout the month of June!
