PANdemonium4's Virtual Ohio Flute Competition

PANdemonium4 flute quartet announces PANdemonium4’s Virtual Ohio Flute Competition! This fully-online competition is open to Ohio flutists grades 7 through 30 years of age in four divisions: junior high, high school, collegiate, and young artist. All solo, etude, and orchestral repertoire is available for free through IMSLP, and winners will be announced on Monday, June 8.

To apply, video record your required repertoire and combine the videos into a single .mp4 file with works in the order indicated. Recordings of individual pieces, etudes, and excerpts must be unedited. Label your file with your first name, last name, and division, separated by dashes. (Ex: Jane-Doe-HighSchool) The files will be relabeled for anonymity prior to adjudication.

Applications are due by Monday, May 30 at 5:00 PM EDT. To submit your application, fill out the Google Form where you will be asked to upload your video file. Upon receipt of the form, you will receive an email with information to submit your registration fee of $22 online. Your application is not complete until payment is received.

First and second place prize monies will be awarded in each division, with award amounts determined by the total number of applicants. $10 of each registration fee goes towards the award monies, and PANdemonium4 reserves the right to cancel any division which does not have three or more qualified competitors.

PANdemonium4 is a flute quartet of Ohio-based teacher-performer professionals Kimberlee Goodman, Lindsey Goodman, Lisa Jelle, and Alison Brown Sincoff representing a diverse group of universities across the state. We share a mutual passion for promoting all things flute in central Ohio and impacting the global future of chamber music collaborations within the setting of the quartet. Our ensemble formed in 2016, and has thus far performed at two National Flute Association Annual Conventions and in seven different states. We can be heard in our first studio recording on Bolling & Beyond: Lisa Jelle, Jazz-Inspired Flute. Mark Flugge Remembered.
