Music on the Edge Beyond Microtonal Festival

On Saturday, February 29nd, I'm excited to be a returning guest artist for the University of Pittsburgh's Music on the Edge series! Harpist Nuiko Wadden and I perform Burr Van Nostrand's Ventilation Manual: A Dusk Ceremonial as part of the Beyond: Micrtonal Festival's "Microtonal Pittsburgh" concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Frick Fine Arts Auditorium. The 2:00 PM concert is free and open to the public.

PANdemonium4 at Otterbein University

On Sunday, February 16th, PANdemonium4 performs a chamber music concert at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio! This 2:00 PM concert in Riley Auditorium is free and open to the public, and features the Ohio premieres of our two latest commissions: Laura Schwendinger's Nine Muses and Mark Flugge's Action Planet, arranged by Andy Frederick. The program also includes works by Gary Schocker (Nymphs), Cynthia Folio (Four 'Scapes), Michael Rene Torres (I wonder at the idleness of tears), and Metallica (Enter Sandman), arranged by Nicole Chamberlain.

Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention

On Saturday, February 15th, I'll be at the Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention presented by the Flute Society of Washington! At 12:30 PM, I perform "The Bionic Woman: Commissioned Electroacoustic Works by Female Composers" a half-recital featuring Elainie Lillios's Sleep's Undulating Tide and Judith Shatin's Penelope's Song in the Chrysalis Room, and, at 1:30 PM, I perform Linda Kernohan's Demon/Daemon on the Orchestral Performers Concert in Potomac Room 1, gratefully sponsored by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra! Convention events are held at the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport in Herdon, Virginia.

Ashland University masterclass

On Friday, February 14th, I look forward to being guest artist for Dr. Erin Helgeson Torres's flute studio at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio! From 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, I give my "Extend Your Musicianship: Extended Techniques for Daily Practice and Beyond" presentation, and, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, I teach a masterclass for the flute studio.
