PANdemonium4 at University of Kentucky

From January 27th to 28th, PANdemonium4, your favorite flute quartet, is in residence at the University of Kentucky in Lexington! On Monday, January 27th, we perform a chamber music concert at 7:30 PM featuring the world premieres of our two latest commissions: Laura Schwendinger's Nine Muses and Mark Flugge's Action Planet, arranged by Andy Frederick. The program also includes works by Gary Schocker (Nymphs), Cynthia Folio (Four 'Scapes), Michael Rene Torres (I wonder at the idleness of tears), and Metallica (Enter Sandman), arranged by Nicole Chamberlain. On Tuesday, January 28th, we teach a masterclass for Dr. Julie Hobbs's flute studio from 12:30 - 1:50 PM.

Goodman Flute Studios High School Recital

On Wednesday, January 22nd, Goodman Flute Studios presents our annual High School Studio Recital in the Pickerington High School North Performing Arts Center! This free concert at 7:00 PM in Pickerington, Ohio features seven hard-working young ladies performing ten standard flute and piccolo solos by Chaminade, Griffes, Hindemith, Vivaldi, Handel, Gluck, Haydn, Donjon, Foster, and Koehler, assisted by pianist Kathy Vansant.

Etereo release recital at Marietta College

On Saturday, January 18th, I perform a faculty album release recital at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio in celebration of my third solo album, Etereo, from PARMA Recordings! This 7:30 PM concert in McDonough Auditorium is free and open to the public. Enjoy music by living composers from my three solo albums by Rob Deemer (The Road From Hana), Jason Taurins (Marsyas and Gadfly), Tony Zilincik (I Asked You), Bruce Babcock (Soliloquy), Elainie Lillios (Sleep's Undulating Tide), Josh Oxford (Bluez), and Judith Shatin (Penelope's Song).

Otterbein University masterclass

On Friday, January 17th, I'm honored to be guest artist for Dr. Kimberlee Goodman's flute studio at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio! From 4:00 - 6:00 PM, I teach a masterclass for the flute studio give my "Warm-up Workout" presentation in Riley Auditorium.

Goodman Flute Studios Flute Choir Day

On Wednesday, January 15th, my private teaching studio, Goodman Flute Studios, presents our seventh annual guest artist festival, Flute Choir Day with Christina Condon from 5:30 - 8:00 PM in the Pickerington High School North choir room! Flutists and teachers of all ages are welcome in Pickerington, Ohio to hear a mini recital featuring Ms. Condon, play in a flute choir reading session, and see a masterclass on standard flute repertoire. Auditors are $10 at the door.

Etereo release party on Resonance Chamber Series

On Tuesday, January 14th, join me for the Etereo album release party hosted by the Resonance Works Chamber Series from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Bar Marco in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to celebrate the release of my third solo album! Enjoy music by living composers from my three solo albums by Rob Deemer (The Road From Hana), Jason Taurins (Marsyas and Gadfly), Tony Zilincik (I Asked You), Bruce Babcock (Soliloquy), Elainie Lillios (Sleep's Undulating Tide), Josh Oxford (Bluez), and Judith Shatin (Penelope's Song) while indulging with food and drink in a cabaret setting. Tickets are $15 online or at the door. Please note that, regrettably, this second-floor venue is not wheelchair accessible.

My third solo album, Etereo, debuts today, Friday, January 10th, 2020, from PARMA Recordings! This compilation album features solo flute works by Bruce Babcock (Soliloquy), Steven Block (sweet soulless solstice), Josh Oxford (Bluez), and Jason Taurins (Marsyas and Gadfly) and electroacoustic flute music by Mara Helmuth (Butterfly Within). The Chrysalis Duo with pianist Robert Frankenberry performs music by Alla Cohen (Watercolors of the Master Who is Accustomed to Paint Oils), and the Leviathan Trio with cellist Hannah Pressley and pianist Joseph Dangerfield performs Jennifer Jolley's trio (Flight 710 to Cabo San Lucas). Matt and I will discuss the project from PARMA Recordings, play tracks from the album, and I'll perform Josh Oxford's Bluez and Bruce Babcock's Soliloquy live on the air.
