Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble season

July marks my 16th season as solo flutist of the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble. The season opens July 7th and 8th with Kevin Puts's In At the Eye and John Corigliano's Mr. Tambourine Man, and continues July 14th and 15th with Mathew Rosenblum's Falling. July 21st and 22nd features David Kirkland Garner's Glasz, David Biedenbender's Red Vesper, Rufus Reid's PANGEA, and a world premiere by Thomas Osborne, and the season closes July 28th and 29th with Christopher Cerrone's South Catalina, Night Mare, and Naomi Songs. Tickets are $25 ($10 for students and $15 for seniors) with discounts available for flexible packages of 6 - 11 tickets. During the season, we're also recording the Puts, Coriglian

New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival

At 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21st, I perform Mark Zanter's Persistence of Memory for flute and live-processed electronics at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. Tickets for the performance in Abrons Arts Center's Playhouse are available at the door for $15, and the full festival runs from June 19th - 25th and July 14th - 16th. 49 Flutes

On Wednesday, June 21st, I'll be in New York City for two exciting performances. During the day, I'm one of 98 flutists performing John Cage's 49 Waltzes for the Five Boroughs for a project called 49 Flutes celebrating the 40th anniversary of the work. Follow us around the city to experience this performance art firsthand, and thank you to Martha Cargo for organizing this flutastic enterprise!

Cineshape and Duos CD release

On June 1st, Cineshape and Duos was released on Albany Records featuring works by composer Amy Williams.
