West Virginia University residency

On Tuesday, November 1st, I'm excited to be a guest artist at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. The day begins with a 3:00 pm flute masterclass, and continues with a free 8:00 pm solo electroacoustic recital, both in Bloch Learning and Performance Hall. The concert includes signature commissions by Randall Woolf (The Line of Purples), Linda Kernohan (Demon/Daemon), Tony Zilincik (I Asked You), Elainie Lillios (Sleep's Undulating Tide), Jeffrey Nytch (Covenant), Roger Zahab (suspicion of nakedness), and Judith Shatin (Penelope's Song). Thank you to Nina Assimakopoulos for the wonderful invitation to visit WVU, to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra for their sponsorship

PNME at Susquehanna University

As I begin my sixteenth season as solo flutist, the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble embarks on two residency projects around the country this fall. In September, we were at the University of Texas at Austin, and, from October 9th through 12th, the PNME will next be in residence at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, where we perform as the Martha Barker Blessing Musicians-in-Residence for a 7:30 pm concert on October 10th in the Stretansky Concert Hall, featuring Kevin Puts' In At the Eye. I also present a masterclass for the flute studio on October 10th at 3:00 pm.
