Music on the Edge in New York City

On Tuesday, November 24th, the University of Pittsburgh’s Music on the Edge series makes its New York City debut with a chamber music concert at SubCulture. Cellist Dave Eggar, pianist Eric Moe, and I remount our performance of Burr Van Nostrand’s Fantasy Manual for Urban Survival, composer and pianist Amy Williams and I perform her First Lines, and I play Eric Moe’s Let Me Tell U About R Specials. This 7:30 pm concert also features percussionist Lisa Pegher, and tickets are $20 online. Many thanks to MOtE coordinators Mathew Rosenblum, Eric, and Amy for inviting me to collaborate for this auspicious event!

Singing Pierrot Lunaire

On Sunday, November 8th, I sing selections from Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire at Capital University in Bexley, Ohio. Performing with my former student, flutist Kay Gresko, I look forward to having realized both the sprechstimme and flute parts of this monumental work in live performance. Join us for this free 2:00 pm concert in Huntington Recital Hall.
