Northwestern University concerto

On Thursday, October 29th, I gleefully return to my alma mater, Northwestern University, to perform Cynthia Folio’s Winds for Change with fellow flutist Sherry Kujala, conductor Robert Hasty, and the Northwestern University Chamber Orchestra. This new concerto, scored for two flutists (doubling alto flute), strings, percussion, and live-processed electroacoustics and video is featured on NUCO’s free 7:30 pm concert in Evanston, Illinois’ Pick-Staiger Concert Hall. Buy your tickets ($6/$4 students) for this one-night only event online. Thank you so much to Bob and Sherry for the invitation to collaborate, and to Cynthia for the exciting new piece. Go Wildcats!

University of Cincinnati CCM residency

On Tuesday, October 6th, I eagerly anticipate a residency at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. From 3:00 - 5:00 pm, I give a student composer reading of new works for flute, and at 8:00 pm, I perform a free solo electroacoustic recital of works by Roger Dannenberg (Separation Logic), Mara Helmuth (Butterfly Within), Eric Moe (Let Me Tell U About R Specials), Mark Zanter (Persistence of Memory), Randall Woolf (The Line of Purples), and Elainie Lillios (Among Fireflies) in the Patricia Corbett Theatre. Thank you to Mara Helmuth and Evan Williams for the kind invitation to visit CCM!
